About the Friendly Photography Forums

The Friendly Photography Forums were founded by photographer Benon Julius William Otto Koebsch (user BJWOK here) in mid 2010 after many trivial frustrations with other photography forums were discovered, rendering the end-user experience on those sites rather tedious.

We seek to to do the following:

• Provide a forum for both Canon and Nikon shooters, professional, amateur & anywhere in between!
• Provide a friendly atmosphere, where open discussion between photographer/model/band/subject is encouraged.
• Allow any number of images to be embedded/attached into a thread - if your set has 12 images, post em, if it has 23, post em all for everyone to see!!
• Allow transparent communication with a moderator within the forum pages - this is the internet, we're not hiding behind anything, you shouldn't either!

A little about photography and myself:

I shoot Canon, so my bias will be leaning on that side of the fence, however these forums are not in favour of either Canon or Nikon. They are for both (and anyone else shooting on any other brand for that matter!)

I do all my preliminary work in Lightroom, my knowledge of Aperture and Camera Raw are limited but I do hope to learn from this community. Final touches for me such as levels adjustments, sharpening, resizing, logo adding etc always take place in Photoshop.

I'm a rock n roll photographer, so the bulk of my postings here will be in the "Gigs, Bands, Concerts, Shows, Festivals, Live Performances" section. You can view my portfolio here.

I'll be the moderator here for the time being while the community is small and manageable, so if you have any issues at all you can contact me directly through my profile link.

As the community grows, I'll be happy to add more categories and forum subjects, so if you think of something I've missed, hit me up!

Cheers folks,
Benon Koebsch
